Andrew and Katherine | Wavering Place Plantation

October 3, 2014

Andrew and Katherine were married this May at the amazing Wavering Place Plantation {and it was actually the first wedding held at this beautiful “new venue”}. Katherine, a talented photographer herself  was such a breath of fresh air when we first met, about three months before her wedding. Newly engaged, Katherine was just really excited about marrying Andrew, becoming his wife and their new life together. She wanted a few simple things for her wedding – to be wed in the midst of God’s creation and to have an incredible photographer. I quickly sent her to check out Wavering Place Plantation, a privately family owned plantation….in Columbia! It’s such a gem….full of history and beauty and only twenty minutes from downtown. When I met Andrew the week before the wedding, I really got even more excited for their upcoming nuptials…these two…are perfect for each other. They are going to do great things in life, by each other’s sides – cheering each other on the whole way {and maybe a good bit of laughing too}.

Take a scroll through the beautiful images below – all by, Emily Chidester. Isn’t Katherine a beauty, especially in her amazing Jenny Packham gown? And we still get teary eyed thinking about how her brother served as her “Man of Honor” instead of a traditional Maid of Honor.
